COLERIDGE - Lucy Brady Powers, 86, of Old Cox Road, Apt. 42, Asheboro, formerly of Coleridge, died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Cross Road Retirement Community.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Ken Huggins and the Rev. Chris Wood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker.
Surviving are sons, Odell Brady, Jesse Brady, Kenny Brady, all of Ramseur, Vernon Brady, Roland Brady, Raeford Brady, all of Asheboro, Ronnie Brady of Bennett, Jerry Brady of Seagrove; daughters, Linda Wright, Grace Ritter, Kaye Durham, all of Asheboro, Dianne Pierce of Seagrove; brothers, Dempsey Gatlin of Asheboro, Lewis Gatlin of Seagrove; stepson, Johnny Powers of Coleridge; stepdaughters, Pat McAlister of Coleridge, Linda Langley of Staley; 23 grandchildren: 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 6-9 p.m. Saturday.
