Deborah Denise Webster Cathey entered eternal rest on December 14, 2021,at Maury Regional Hospital and the Lord welcomed her with open arms to reign with the heavenly host. Deborah was born on September 6, 1956, to the late John Marshall Webster and Betty Jordan Webster.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 12:00 noon at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

She was proceeded in death by her siblings Netia Webster, John Jordan, Katie Martin, and Samuel Jordan.

She attended the Lewis County Public School System. Deborah professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church where she was served as an usher. She had two beautiful children who were the apple of her eye, Derrick and Bettye.

Deborah was a certified nursing technician for several years working at the Heritage Nursing Home, where she was a very loving caregiver to her patients. She was a licensed cosmetologist and worked at Siegel's Factory. Deborah was a fabulous cook and known for her exquisite cuisines. Deborah demonstrated her gift of service through her cooking, serving others, which glorifies God and being obedience to His command, to serve just as He did. The word declares to let your light shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Our precious Deborah demonstrated a life filled with Love, Service and Compassion. She loved her family and cherished family gatherings. Deborah was loved by everyone who knew her even though she was stubborn, and she always had a way of making everyone feel "special" whenever they were in her presence.

Deborah had compassion, and a zeal for life and demonstrated it daily through her many acts of kindness. Compassion is much more than ordinary kindness, and it can't be measured by a test or be seen under a microscope, and is tough to define, because only special people have the uncanny way to show it effortlessly, and that was our precious Deborah, who loved us all with an enduring love.

She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son, Derrick Cathey and a devoted daughter, Bettye Cathey Amos, two loving grandchildren, KeShaun and KeVonta, devoted sisters, Mary Ann Webster, and Dorothy (Kenneth) Carter, devoted brother, Marshall (Katie) Webster, Aunt Gladys Webster Johnson. Special Friends, Jackie Woods, Margaret Booker, Sonya Vaughn, Willie Alderson, Walter Johnson, David Dansby and Robert Moore. A host of adoring cousins, friends, and acquaintances too numerous to mention.

V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
