Mary Eugenie Mosher, 76, of Sioux City, IA passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Holy Cross Parish – Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mary Eugenie, the daughter of Isadore and Lena (Dandurand) Girard, was born July 14, 1945 in Sioux City, IA. Mary was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School in 1963. During high school, she worked at Zortman's Drug in Riverside. Following high school, Mary attended business school at N.B.T. then went to work at Dr. Lohr's office. On April 27, 1968, Mary was united in marriage to Sidney "Paul" Mosher IV in Sioux City and this union was blessed with three sons. Mary and Paul lived in different communities in Minnesota and Wisconsin while he was in sales for several hotel chains. In 1976, the couple moved back to Sioux City and opened Mosher Garden Center in Leeds in 1976. They relocated the garden center in the year 2000 to business Hwy 75. In 2004 the garden center developed into Mosher Landscaping Inc. which was their passion, pride and joy. Mary's hobbies included: designing floral arrangements, fishing, camping and working on puzzles. In retirement, she truly enjoyed her garden, her flowers and feeding animals in her yard. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family including playing board games with them and their annual fishing trips. For many years she enjoyed her annual trip to San Francisco to see her sister-in-law, Marie. Mary is survived by her sons: Sid (Alisha) Mosher, Matt Mosher and Lucas (fiancée Amy) Mosher all of Sioux City; nine grandchildren: Josh Lenninger, Cody Mosher, Brayden Allan, Dayton Mosher, Easten Mosher, Kamden Mosher, Brooke Mosher, Lucas Mosher II and Iris Mosher; three great grandchildren; three siblings: Donald (Nelia) Girard of Las Vegas, NV, Debra (Dan) Britt of Wentworth, SD and Vicki (Kevin) Kollbaum of Hornick, IA; one sister-in-law, Terra Girard of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul on October 16, 2017; one sister, Sharon (Ken) Doty; and one brother, Jerry Girard.
