Mrs. Isadore Girard, 64, Sioux City, died Friday (Sept. 17, 1982), at a Sioux City hospital following a one-day illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Rev. Jude Brunnert will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery under direction of Berkemier funeral home. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart church. Mrs. Girard, the former Lena Dandurand, was born on Jan. 22, 1918, at Vermillion, S.D.
She married Isadore Girard on Nov. 16, 1936, at Vermillion. The couple lived in Jefferson until 1938 when they moved to North Sioux City. They moved to Sioux City in 1942.
Mrs. Girard had been employed at Briar Cliff College for a number of years and later worked at Woolco. She was a member of Sacred Heart church, Ladies of La Salette, Legion of Mary and Cursillo.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Donald R. of Claric Air Force base in the Philippines and Gerald of Minneapolis; four daughters, Mrs. Ken (Sharon) Doty of Sioux Falls, S.D., Mrs. Paul (Mary) Mosher and Mrs. James (Vickie) Keairns, both of Sioux City and Mrs. Dan (Debra) Britt of Le Mars; a brother, Leonard Dandurand of Sioux City; five sisters, Mrs. Alva (Stella) Cox,and Mrs. Jane McKenzie, both of Sioux City, Mary Young of Spearfish, S.D., Mrs. Bob (Bernadette) Faler of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Ruby Pine of Grass Valley, Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Rosalia Dandurand of Sioux City; 17 grandchildren.
