She was an operator for the former New England Telephone Company for nine years and was a typist and clerk for the state for eight years. She retired in 1964. Mrs. Banks was a past member of the Nifty Sixties Bowling League.
She he was educated in Scituate. She lived in Braintree and Scituate before moving to Weymouth, where she lived for 25 years. She moved back to Braintree 20 years ago. She died April 1 at Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate.
She leaves two brothers, John J. Harrigan of Scituate and James L. Harrigan of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis of Assisi Church.
Burial was in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery.
