Elgar (Bud) Ramseth graduated from Elkton High School. He was an Army infantry scout in Germany. He lived in Albert Lea starting in the hide cellar at Wilson’s Meatpacking, and moved up to foreman. He moved to Austin where he worked for Merle Sawyer’s oil station then as bartender for the American Legion Club.
