From the Monitor Review, October 26, 1978:

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 23, 1978 at 11:30 a.m. at the Clasen-Jordan Chapel and at 1:30 p.m. at Marshall Lutheran Church, with Rev. Wayne V. Quibell officiating, for Joris A. Ramseth, who passed away on Thursday, October 19, 1978 at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin. He was 77. Organists were Mrs. Lawrence Dewey and Pamela Gunderson, with a duet by Rev. Wayne and Bobbi Quibell. Interment was at Marshall Lutheran Cemetery.

Mr. Ramseth is survived by one sister, Mrs. Merle (Alice) Sawyer, Austin, Mn.; four brothers, Alfred Ramseth, St. Paul, Mn., Elgar Ramseth, Austin, MN., Raymond Ramseth, St. Paul, Mn., and Lester Ramseth, Austin, Mn.; nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was a member of Marshall Lutheran Church. Mr. Ramseth was born near Dexter, the son of Anton Ramseth and Matilda Johnson, on August 26, 1901. He was self-employed and was president of J. A. Ramseth Agency in the field of real estate, insurance and loans.
