OBITUARY-
Alice Sawyer, 87, a life long resident of the Austin area died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.
She was born July 7, 1914, in Clayton Township, Mower County, the daughter of Anton J. and Mathilda (Johnson) Ramseth.
She married Merle Sawyer Sept. 23, 1933, in Albert Lea. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Austin. Merle died May 6, 2000. Alice was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Merv (Adair) Sawyer and Arlin (Delone) Sawyer all of Austin; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Lester (Jan) Ramseth, Austin; three sisters-in-law, Arline Ramseth and Gail Enneberg both of Austin and Evelyn Ramseth, St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and six brothers.
Service: 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2001 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Greg Mannel officiating.
Visitation: Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
