George Edward Givens, 69, of Salisbury, MO, died Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Chariton Park Health Care Center in Salisbury, MO. George was born March 17, 1952 in Salisbury, MO the son of William and Jessie (Hurst) Givens.
George was a graduate of Salisbury High School, class of 1971. He worked for Biltwell Clothing Factory, Salisbury Street Department, Salisbury Golf Course Sheltered Workshop in Keytesville and Chariton Park Health Care Center. He was a former member of the Pleasant Woods Baptist Church in Salisbury and member of the Salisbury First Baptist Church in Salisbury. He enjoyed riding around and visiting with people, and playing cards.
George is survived by brothers Donald Givens of Salisbury, MO, Bill (Jeanette) Givens of Huntsville, MO, sister Willa Burris of Salisbury, MO, two half-sisters Dorothy Munoz and Sabina Givens of Colorado, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece Pam Dawn Givens.
Visitation is Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 11-1:00 p.m. with services following at 1:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, with burial in Salisbury City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salisbury City Cemetery.
