---Dean Alon Wilt, 90, of Macon, MO passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon.
---Dean was born on January 15, 1931 in Atlanta, MO, the son of Dale and Laura (Mitchell) Wilt. He was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Gipson on April 14, 1985. Dean was a past member of the Rotary Club, served on the City Aircraft Advisory Board, and the Macon County Economic Development Board. He was a long-time business man who started several businesses in Macon. He was the owner of Macon Realty Company for many years, after retirement his son, Dan, took over the business. Dean was an avid aircraft enthusiast. He learned to fly in the Air Force and never lost his love of flying. He liked spending time at the lake fishing and boating, as well as traveling. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association 1212 in Macon, and was honored to have given many children their first airplane ride through the Young Eagles program.
---Dean is survived by his wife Barby of the home; one son, Dan Wilt and his wife Jeri of Macon, MO; one grandson, David Wilt and his wife Callie; great-grandson, Wyatt Dean; two step granddaughters, Amy Perkins and her husband Shannon, and Julie Frick and her husband Chad; and several step great grandchildren.
---He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Letha Wilt; and one brother, Lewis Wilt.
---Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with Pastor Wallace Landrum officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery east of Atlanta, MO. Visitation will be Monday at 9:00 am, until the time of the service, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the EAA Chapter 1212.
