Jeannette McDonald was born in Whitehall, Jefferson County, Montana in March of 1901 (or 1900 per other records) to Archibald R McDonald and Nellie E Deeny.

Jeannette was raised in Whitehall and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1918. She married Charles H Kenyon in Pocatello, Idaho on 25 October 1919 (exactly 102 years ago today when I'm creating her memorial). Per an article on 8 Nov 1919 announcing their marriage (Anaconda Standard, Anaconda, MT), Jeannette worked in the Whitehall Post Office prior to marrying. This article also states the couple would be moving to Salt Lake City.

Jeannette and Charles had 1 child in 1921 from what I found, Winifred Eileen, who went by Eileen.

By 1926, Jeannette and her family were living in Venice, a beach town in Los Angeles County. This is the reason I know of Jeannette as my maternal grandparents and their daughter, my mother, spent time with the Kenyon's while they lived in Los Angeles. There are several photos of the Kenyon's in my grandmother's jam-packed earliest photo album. I will post a few of these photos to their memorials.

By 1935, the Kenyon's had moved to the San Francisco Bay area and were living in Berkeley. The 1940 Census records them living in nearby Albany in Alameda County.

It appears the Kenyon's remained in the East Bay (California) for the remainder of their lives. Charles died in early 1983 in Contra Costa County where Jeannette remained until her death in 1993.

It has been a privilege to create this memorial for Jeannette to honor her life.
