---John was born on January 12, 1953 in Macon County, the son of Leroy and Ada (Moore) Perkins. John was a member of the New Life Chapel in Macon, where he served as the Lay Speaker and Vice President; Elks Lodge #999 of Macon, recently receiving the 2020 Elk of the Year and holding several chairs in the organization. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals, reading his bible, and spending time with family and friends.
---John is survived by his three children, Jennifer Torres and her husband Frank of St. Petersburg, FL, Teri Black and her husband Tyler of Rich Hill, MO, and Brandi Williams and her husband Reed of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Kenneth, Bethany, John, Austin, Daylan, Kaden, Xander, Anwynn, Lorilai, and Lilly; and his significant other, Julie Kribble of Macon, MO. He is also survived by one brother, Holly Ray Perkins of Macon, MO; one sister, Ada Barton and her husband Larry of Clarence, MO; one sister-in-law, Cleota Perkins; and numerous family and friends.
---He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margaret Winkler; brothers, Winfred Perkins and Everett Perkins; and brother-in-law, Gary Winkler.
