Linda Joyce Ellis was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 14, 2021.

Born in Texas on November 1, 1952 to Alfred Fred Riley and Johnnie Riley Bowling, Linda made Ridgeland, MS her home. Linda and her mother had a special relationship as she did with all of her sisters and all her family for that matter. These ladies were born into a lot of darkness but brought light to every room they were in to their last breath. We love them all and will look to seeing them again in heaven, in the meantime we will keep bringing our love in their honor. These ladies were special, and the backbone of any strength or courage we have - markings from the hand of God was upon them!

They all reminded us of our Texas roots and that East Texas mentality will always run in our blood! The last of six siblings, Linda battled a long life of many deaths in her family and she did it with bravery and compassion. She was able to succeed in a wonderful marriage to Paul Ellis and raised not only her girls, Linda Rena Smith and Lamonia Ruth Smith, and step-sons, Donald Paul Ellis II and Charles Thomas Ellis . Her heart was a giving heart touched by God. She loved to watch the hummingbirds! They were one of her favorites, along with her Rose bushes and Hibiscus flowers that she had planted all over the yard.

Visitation will be from 2pm - 4pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home, 759 Hwy 51, Madison, MS. A funeral service will begin at 10am on Monday in the chapel with a graveside service to follow at the Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland.
