Charles Tomlinson
Charles Tomlinson, 70, of 278 West Beechwood Street, Pinedale, a retired custodian of the Pinedale School, died yesterday in a local hospital after an illness of several months.
A native of, Wanette, Okla., Tomlinson moved to the Visalia area in 1935. He ranched in that area until he moved to Pinedale in 1947.
In retirement, he was one of Millerton Lake's most avid fishermen. His family said he made a trip to the lake almost daily until he became ill last October.
Tomlinson attended the Assembly of God Church, Pinedale.
He is survived by his widow Belle; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Strange of Fresno; two sisters, Mrs Pearl Yamell of Exeter, Tulare County and Mrs. Dona Brownfield, of Hugo, Okla.; three brothers, David of Roseburg, Ore., Robert of Wanette, Okla., and Oliver of Broken Arrow, Okla., and a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday in the John N. Lisle Chapel the Lisle Funeral Home. Cremation will be in the Chapel of the Light.
