Mr. Clarence Bothwell was born on June 22, 1960 to the late Mr. Leonard Bothwell Sr. and Mrs. Willie Mae Woods Bothwell.

Clarence was raised in Ashville, Alabama and attended St. Clair County Schools and early in life united with Overcoming Church of our Lord Jesus Christ and Deliverance Church of Philadelphia in Ashville, Alabama. After marriage, he obeyed the gospel in March 2005 and attended Sand Valley Church of Christ in Oneonta, Alabama, until his death.

Clarence was a loyal, dedicated, and faithful employee with Anniston Army Depot for 20 years, He rendered services to his country through the Alabama Army National Guard for 20 years, receiving an Honorable Discharge and later retired at age 60.

Clarence loved cooking, hunting, and fishing. He was loved by everyone, he came in contact with. He greeted everyone with a genuine smile and he possessed a dynamic personality that transcended age, race and cultural barriers. He recognized and respected the value in every individual and always considered others before himself.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Hazel Looney ; Henry Bothwell; Betty Bothwell, Leon Bothwell, Oscar Bothwell,& Carolyn Polk. His death occurred on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Gadsden Regional Hospital in Gadsden, Alabama.

Memories continue to linger with his loving wife of 35 years, Bridget Johnson Bothwell; children, 3 children that ended in miscarriages; Brittany Amanda Bothwell and Stedman Clarence Bothwell; siblings Mary Evans (Rueben, deceased), Dorothy Phillips (Curtis), Wanda Looney; Leonard Bothwell, Jr. and Edward Bothwell (April); grandchildren, Jamil Davion Mitchell and Zylen Vantenza Bothwell. Sister-in laws: Beverly Bothwell, Florence Bothwell, Myra Hardaway (Richard), Melody Warren (Earl); brother-in-laws: Glennis John Johnson; a host of uncles, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and acquaintances.

Public Viewing 12 Noon-6 P.M Friday with a family hour with the family 12 Noon-1 P.M.at West Gadsden Chapel Funeral Services 11 A.M. Saturday, September 18, 2021 First Baptist Church, Oneonta, With burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
