Janet Leahy Case Crocker passed away peacefully on August 24, 2021 in Chicago, Illinois.

Loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.

Janet was born in Ashland, Illinois, the daughter of the late John and Mabel (nee Newell) Leahy. She is preceded in death by her four siblings, Kenneth and Jack Leahy, Marjorie Vost and Rita Gorman, and also by her former husbands James Case and Anthony Crocker.

A devoted and accomplished teacher throughout Illinois (Belleville, Rockford, Rantoul and for many years, Naperville), she was awarded Elementary School Teacher of the Year by Naperville School District 203. Janet thrived on writing and producing musical shows for her students to perform. After she retired and moved to Fort Myers, Florida, she continued to direct talent shows and musical productions at the communities where she lived. She enjoyed golf, and as an avid duplicate bridge player, attained the title of Life Master.
