Graveside services for Carolyn Jean Byers Herrell, 58, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Billy D. Smith officiating.
Born on Sept. 14, 1947, in Ardmore, to Alfred Harrell and Allie Gwendolyn Cavner Byers, she died on Feb. 5, 2006, at the local hospital. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Dale Herrell Jr.; her parents; a sister, Dorothy Jean Lee; brothers, Wayne Byers and Luther Byers; and grandparents, Toby and Cora Cavner, Charlie Byers and Lillie Bell Byers Williams.
She was a homemaker who had lived in Ardmore all her life. She was associated with the Pentecostal Holiness church. She loved life and loved everyone.
She is survived by sisters, Marilyn Gowin, Davis, and Cathy Faulkinbury, Ardmore; brothers, David Byers, Eldon Byers, Denny Byers, Kenneth Byers and Allen Byers, all of Ardmore; the love of her life, Bill Howard, Ardmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as bearers.
