Mrs. Lucy A. Carney, 67 years of age, wife of Robert Carney, deceased, died Monday afternoon at 4:20 at the family residence in Logansport, following a lingering illness. She was a life-long member of the English Lutheran church and through all her sickness, faith, hope and love were manifest. She is survived by four children, Calvin E. Carney, of Delphi; Effie M. Beale, of Logansport; John R. Carney, of Pyrmont, and Carrie E. Sweir (sic), of Logansport. Five grandchildren, one sister and three brothers also survive.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, conducted by the Rev. W. D. Zeigler, of the English Lutheran church. Interment was made in the Plank cemetery.
