---Born June 27, 1967 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Dwight and Lorraine (Nolte) Lee.
---Survivors include her fiancé, Pete Schultz of Kirksville, Missouri; two sons, Jesse and Ryan Crooks of Kirksville, Missouri; three brothers, Darrell Connell of St. Joseph, Missouri, Gary (Debbie) Lee of Kirksville, Missouri, and Mike Lee of La Plata, Missouri; three sisters, Teresa Lee (Jerry Reese) of Dallas, Texas, Brenda Lee of Kirksville, Missouri, and Donna (Michael) Ford of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
---Her parents preceded her in death.
---Shirley lived all of her life in the La Plata and Kirksville communities. She was a 1985 graduate of La Plata High School, and later was employed with the Chariton Valley Association.
---Shirley's world consisted of her boys, family, and friends. She loved traveling, going to movies, fishing with her boys, and cooking. The Special Olympics family had a special place in her heart.
---Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Travis Funeral Chapel in La Plata, Missouri. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, east of Atlanta, Missouri.
---Visitation will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Travis Funeral Chapel.
