Wallace Earl Smith, age 85, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 6, 1935 to the late Willie Smith and the late Lela Kinlaw Smith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, LeRoy Smith, Milton Smith, Billy Smith, and Jerry Smith, and one sister, Melba Broadway. He is survived by his wife, a son, three grandchildren: and one sister, Due to COVID restrictions, a brief funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 2:00 PM at First Street True Holiness Street, 902 E. 1st Street in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. George Connor officiating. If you choose to attend the graveside committal only, burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC at 3:00 PM.
