She was born November 27, 1919 in Crystal Falls, Michigan, a daughter of Nicholas and Anna (Yurich) Brozak. She married John G. Sokol on June 1, 1938 at St. Stephen's Church. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2004.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters: Mary McCloskey-Lucas, Annette Bowden and Margaret Majercin; and brothers: John, Michael, Andrew and Nicholas Brozak.
Born and raised in Michigan, she attended Michigan schools. She has lived in Streator for many years.
She worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Company for more than 40 years. She also owned and operated Sokol Greenhouse along with her husband for over 40 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Parish.
