The Star-Mirror, Moscow, Idaho, April 7, 1908: "Winnifred French, infant daughter of Representative and Mrs. Burton L. French of Moscow, died at 2 o'clock on the evening of April 3, at Washington, D.C. From the time of the birth of the infant until about two weeks ago the child was kept in an infant incubator.
"Since the baby left the incubator she thrived and made splendid progress until just a couple days before its death. Stomach trouble developed which resulted fatally. The child lacked one day of being three months old.
"The body was placed in a vault at Washington and will be brought to Moscow for interment after the adjournment of the present session of congress."
