Lawrence was a gifted machinist, who worked for Armco Steel in Kansas City for many years, but when Armco jobs went overseas, he went into business for himself, founding Bradley Services, a machine shop in Independence, Missouri. His wife, Crystal, worked along with him, managing the financial and administrative functions of Bradley Services. Lawrence's favorite avocation was collecting and restoring antique tractors.
Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Teresa Renee (Bradley) Grindstaff and her husband, Rick, and their children Henry Clay Grindstaff and Lisa Renee Grindstaff as well as many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings -- Virginia Ruth (Bradley) Bookhout, Richard Henry Bradley, David Elsworth Bradley, Norman Kenneth Bradley, and Margaret Paulina (Bradley) Murrell.
Lawrence was a disciple of Jesus Christ, and he and Crystal were faithful members of Baptist churches throughout their life together.
