Beverly (Roberts) Thompson was born November 11, 1938 to Johnnie Lee and Twila (Neal) Roberts in Chariton, Iowa. Beverly and her family lived in Chariton till she was an adult. She lived in various states but mostly in Douglasville, GA.

On February 25, 1955, she married the love of her life Richard Lee Thompson. To this union three children were born Rhonda Lynn, Larry Brian, Dianne Marie. Beverly was a homemaker, she made sure her family was well taking care of. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed square dancing, shopping and traveling. Beverly lost her husband of 55 years, May 31, 2010.

Beverly passed away July 27, 2021 in Perry GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Twila Roberts, her husband Richard Thompson, her siblings ,Joyce Pfrimmer, Barbara Cain, Patricia West, Gary, Terry, Larry, Donald, Jimmie Roberts, nephew, Donald Roberts, grandson Andrew Davenport, great-granddaughter Briana Goff.

Beverly is survived by her children, Dr. Rhonda Lynn Thompson of Perry, GA, Larry Brian Thompson of Davenport, IA and Dianne Marie Pineda (Ronald) of Killeen , TX, eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, her siblings, Jerry L. Roberts of Iowa, Linda R. Isom of Killeen, TX, Sherri M Cupit (Rusty) of Alabama, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Beverly Roberts Thompson, 82, formerly of Iowa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held in Salem Cemetery in Chariton, Iowa, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband. Details of the service will be announced as soon as they are available.

Beverly was born in Benton, Iowa, to the late Johnnie and Twila Neal Roberts. She married the love of her life, Richard Lee Thompson. A homemaker, she continuously worked to provide and maintain a caring and welcoming environment in which to raise their children. Beverly always enjoyed traveling and square dancing, especially with Richard by her side. She cherished time spent with family, which was often. Beverly and Richard traveled for many years in their motor home until his death in 2010. Beverly was a member of Nachamu Ami Congregation in Macon.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her loving and devoted husband of fifty-five years, Richard Lee Thompson; three brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, Andrew Davenport.

Those left to cherish the memories they made with Beverly are her children, Dr. Rhonda Lynn Thompson of Perry, GA, Larry Brian Thompson of Davenport, IA, and Dianne Marie Pineda (Ronald) of Killeen, TX; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jerry L.
