CINCINNATI - Virginia Lynne Baylis, 60, of Cincinnati, formerly of Mount Pulaski, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at University Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born May 6, 1947, in Lincoln, the daughter of Roman and Dorothy Davis Romer. She married Stephen Baylis on Nov. 6, 1971, in Cincinnati; he preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1993.
Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Mrs. Baylis was a manager of administration of domestic sales for Federal Express in Cincinnati. She attended St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Cincinnati.
Surviving are two sons, Andrew (Gillian) and Jason Baylis, both of Cincinnati; six brothers, Thomas (Marietta) Romer of Mount Pulaski, Robert L. (Darlene) Romer of Decatur, Steven P. Romer of Dillon, Colo., Joseph David (Emily) Romer of Golden, Colo., and Roman J. and Richard F. (Barbara) Romer, both of Springfield; and a sister, Joan (Forrest) Suycott of Macomb.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, where a rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Thomas Shaw officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mount Pulaski or to the donor's choice.
