Bobby passed away peacefully at his home in Rock Hill after a short battle with liver cancer. He will be sorely missed by those who survive him. His wife of 46 years -Doris Burris Hines. His sons, Roddey, Robert, and Aaron Hines. His daughters, Nina Duncan, Tracie Conner, and Ashley Hines of Rock Hill and Gina Hungerford of Lancaster. He also leaves behind four brothers, Paul, Clyde, William Samuel (Billy - his twin) all of Rock Hill and Charles Hines of Kentucky. His sisters, Joanne Lemmons and Geraldine Franklin of Gastonia NC, Betty Carroll of York, and Margaret Alice Williams of Camden, SC. Bobby is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grand children. He was the owner and operator of Hines Cleaning Service and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. It was there under the ministry of Rev. Bruce Wyatt that he gave his heart to Jesus Christ and made an incredible transformation. My Uncle Bobby was a fun loving guy who loved God, his family, and church. Words can not express how much we will miss him, his jokes, and laughter. He was the son of the late Paul Hines and Ruby Lanning Hines. He now joins them, his oldest sister, Nellie Hines, and numerous other family members in Heaven.

Bobby and I married when I was [14] and he was [16]. We had 5 wonderful children, 10 grand children, 12 great children, and oh yes, one on the way, he didn’t know about. So he is still very much alive through all our children. Also we are foster parents. We adopted our grand daughter when she was 5, now 19. We also adopted a son which happened right before bobby's death. We were very much in love, and happy. All he wanted out of life was for all his kids to get saved, and live for Jesus. He lived to take care of his church, and do God's work any way he knew how. If I'm lucky enough to live to be 100, I will always love him and never forget him. Bobby was the love of my life. I miss him very much. By the way if you are wondering about my age, I'm 60 now and when he passed he was 62. Bobby, please give Jesus a kiss for me.
