Alma M. Findley, 75, of Milton-Freewater, died yesterday morning in a local nursing home following a long illness. Born June 7, 1898 in Missouri, she was married to Marvin Findley Sept. 6, 1941 in Rockport, Mo. She moved to Milton-Freewater in 1967 from Powers, Ore. Mrs. Findley was a member of the Church of God in Milton-Freewater. Besides her husband, Marvin, at the home, she is survived by four sons; Allen Dale Shaffar of Powers, Ore.; Richard Leroy Shaffar of Union, Iowa; Donald Gene Shaffar of State Center, Iowa; and Robert Keith Shaffar of Bandon, Ore.; two daughters: Mrs. Mildred McDaniel Sr. of Brookings, Ore.; and Mrs. Madia Kettwig of Cedar Falls, Iowa; One sister, Mrs. Ruby Hodge of Milton-Freewater; one brother, Joe Vanderpool of Milton-Freewater; 25 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
