He was born September 30, 1937 to Clarence and Ella (Fisher) Benoy in Eastman, Wisconsin.
Bill was united in marriage with Jane Vinje-Oashgar.
He worked throughout the years in several occupations and retired from the street and recycling department of the city of Madison, Wisconsin.
Bill is survived by his children, Charles (Shirley) Benoy, Dale (Lori) Benoy and Edward (Paula) Benoy; two step-children, Brenton (Dawn) Oashgar and Brian Oashgar; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Frank (Jackie) Benoy of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Joan (Bob) Allan of Seneca, Wisconsin, Jean (Jerry) Rau of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Dian (Arnie) Malsack of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Cathy (Tim) Stocks of Broadhead, Wisconsin and Joyce Benoy of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ella Benoy; two sisters, Judy David and Donna Fortney; and three brothers, Allen "Al" Benoy, Johnny Benoy and Wayne Pat Benoy; daughters, Annie and Mary; son, John; and grandson, Justin.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 9, 2021 with Pastor Andy Doll as the officiant at Evergreen Cemetery, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
Following the Graveside Service, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Praire du Chien Country Club for family and friends.
