Wayne Patrick was born March 14, 1942 to Clarence and Ella Rose (Fisher) Benoy in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith. Wayne graduated from Prairie High School in 1960.
Pat was united in marriage with Linda (Weber) Wheeler on June 16, 1973 in Janesville, Wisconsin. They later divorced.
Pat worked as a Welder and Electrician for Beloit Corp in Beloit, Wisconsin and Voith Corp in Appleton, Wisconsin.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Janesville and Eagles Club in Prairie du Chien.
Pat loved family get togethers and spending time with his grandkids, who called him “Grandpa Wonderful”.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports, including the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Pat spent the winters in Florida.
Pat is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Frank) Hanousek of Ringle, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Matt Hanousek, Tim Hanousek, Caitlin (Steve) Gustafson, Lindsey Antolik and Mitchell Hanousek; special friend, Janis Nelson; siblings, Frank (Jackie) Benoy of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Joan (Bob) Allan of Seneca, Wisconsin, Bill Benoy of Praire du Chien, Wisconsin, Jean (Jerry) Rau of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin Dian (Arnie) Malsack of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Cathy (Tim) Stocks of Broadhead, Wisconsin and Joyce Benoy of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ella Benoy; two sisters, Judy David and Donna Fortney; and two brothers, Allen “Al” Benoy and Johnny Benoy.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin with a two hour visitation before services from 9-11 am at the funeral home on Monday. Rev. Andy Doll will be the Officiant
Burial will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
