Born July 25, 1913, in Bramwell, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Hill and Maude McBride Hill Cumby.
Mrs. Bailey had been a lifelong resident of Bramwell and had worked at an area theatre. She was also a homemaker and was a member of the Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bailey; a brother, Clifton Hill; and two sisters, Louise Goodson and Charlotte Boyd.
Survivors include her daughter, Anita Logan and husband, David of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Ennice Allen of Bramwell, June Bailey of Route 3, Bluefield, and Frances Eller of Bramwell; brothers, Hugh Hill of Columbus, Ohio and Lindy Hill of Highland Springs, Va.; four grandsons and five great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. W.D. Hasty officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Bluewell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
