Robert "Brantley" Anderson, 98, of Odum, Ga. passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. The Wayne County native was a Baptist and was known lovingly as a "Southern Country Gentleman". He enjoyed his life of farming, including row crops, cattle, vegetables and anything pertaining to the outdoors. A Rayonier retiree, he was most proud to take care of his wife and family. His son, Robert Anderson preceded him in death along with his grandson, Brant Anderson; sisters, Bebe Webb, Eva Reddick and Vela Mae Olliff; brothers, Earnest, Ledford, Ford, Arlie, Jr., Woodrow, Ed and Foster Anderson.

Survivors are his wife of 75 years, Thera Mae Anderson of Odum; two daughters, Judy (Jerry) Landon and Ginger Smith, both of Jesup; granddaughter, Meliea DeLoach of Jesup; two great grandchildren, Axl and Ace Anderson; a sister, Lynnah Bumgardner of Brunswick; brother, Kenny Anderson of Jesup.

Celebration of life services will be 3 PM Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with nephew and Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his family.

Visitation will be 1:30 to 3:00 PM Sunday prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georgia Hospice Care, 141 Macon Street, Jesup, GA 31545 and the family is most thankful for their nursing care.
