Dale married Dr. Herbert Fuerst of Brooklyn, NY in 1947 and were parents for 3 known children. For a time Dale & Herbert Fuerst operated the Sunset Inn B&B in Rocky Mount. Dale died in 2005 at age 83. As of this writing, her husband was still living in Atlantic Beach, NC.

DURHAM - Mrs. Dale Rosenbloom Fuerst, 83, daughter of the late Jacob Rosenbloom and Minnie Moore Rosenbloom, died Wednesday, October 18, 2005, while surrounded by her family at her home.
Mrs. Fuerst was born and raised in Rocky Mount. After attending the Rocky Mount public schools, she was one of the first females to graduate from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Business school. Mrs. Fuerst and her husband of 58 years, Dr. Herbert Fuerst relocated to Durham from Rocky Mount. She was a member of Beth El Synagogue.
In addition to her husband, Herbert, Mrs. Fuerst is survived by her sons, Robert Louis Fuerst and his wife, Claudia, of Raleigh, Samuel Isreal Fuerst and his wife Kathy, of Durham; daughter, Sarah Lee Fuerst-Sokol and her husband, Marc, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Shanah Eve, Rachel Alexis, Leah Anne, Rebekah Miriam, Alix Deborah, Ariel Jessica, Joshua Daniel; sisters, Lee Rosenbloom Fritz of Freedom, N.H., Sarah Rosenbloom, of KinstoN; brother, Jacob L. Rosenbloom, of Rocky Mount; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fuerst was predeceased by her brother, Robert Louis Rosenbloom, a fighter pilot who was killed in action during WWII.
A graveside funeral service will take place TODAY, October 20, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount. Officiating will be Rabbi Eric Solomon.
