Mr Costley was a native of Joseph, Oregon. He had lived in Modesto since 1919. He had been a photographer since 1937 and owned Costley and Elliott Studio. He also worked for The Camera Center and The Dark Room.
He is survived by his daughter, Roberta of Riverbank; brothers, Charles Costley and Delbert Costley, both of Modesto; sisters, Bess Vaughn of Merced and Hazel McKinstry of Portland, Oregon; and one grandson.
A graveside service is scheduled at 1 pm Tuesday at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Sunday and noon to 8 pm Monday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
