Mrs. Frances Hicks Chambers, 81, a former resident of Cobb County, died October 16, 1966 at Whitesburg following an extended illness. Interment was in the Noonday Baptist Church Cemetery in Marietta, Ga.
Survivors include sons Cas L. Chambers and James Robert Chambers, both of Marietta, Clifton J. Chambers, Charlotte, N.C.; daughters Flora (Mrs. A. B.) Ledford, Whitesburg, Naomi Moon, Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; half-sisters Alice Duncan, Addie Curtis, Sally Owenby, Pearl McCollum, Fannie Griggs, Wilma Shutley; sister-in-law Mrs. Cash Hicks.
She was predeceased by her parents Marion Lafayette and Mollie Ward Hicks and her daughter Rosie Jane Chambers Russell, as well as half-brother Cash C Hicks.
