Miss M. Brewster, Flowerdale The death of Miss Mary Brewster, which occurred recently at Latrobe, re-moved a member of a pioneer family of the Wynyard municipality. Deceas-ed was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brewster, of Flowerdale, and resided at that centre nearly all her life, with the exception of the last 16 years, which she spent at Latrobe. Deceased was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church, and took a practical interest in all its activities. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. .J. O' Neill (Wynyard), and two brothers, Messrs. Frederick Brewster (Victoria) and Albert Brewster (N.S.W.). The funeral, which was held yester-day in the Latrobe Catholic cemetery, was representative, and included friends and relatives from various parts' of the Coast. Rev. D. Shaw. P.P., officiated at St. Patrick's Church and the graveside, and was assisted by Rev, T. Murphy, of Wynyard. The carriers were Messrs. G. Mor-ton, V. Cassidy, D, Collins and L. Lowery. Thc chief mourners were the sister (Mrs. J. O'Neill, Wynyard);' four nep-hews (Messrs. G. and J. Morton,. J. O' Neill and V. Cassidy); and Mr. J. O' Neill, brother-in-Iaw. There was a number of floral tributes. The hearse was preceded by the Children of Mary, of which deceased was a member.
