WYNYARD. Funeral Obsequies: I The death occurred at the Devon Public. Hospital, Latrobe, on Friday last of John Francis Brewster, a well-known former local resident, at the age of 71 years. The deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brewster, of Flowerdale, and practically all his life had carried on farming pursuits in various parts of the district. Some little time ago he went to live with his sister, Miss M Brewster, at Latrobe, with whom he resided until a short time ago, when complications forced him to enter the Devon Hospital. Deceased was a true disciple of Izaak Walton, and one of the keenest anglers in the district. His remains were brought to Wynyard on Saturday, and after un impressive service at St. Brigid's Church were laid to rest in the Wynyard Cemetery. Rev. P. Fanning officiated at church and graveside. The chief mourners were the two sisters of the deceased, Mrs. J. O'Neill and Miss M. Brewster; Nieces, Mrs. C. King and Misses Tottie and Trenie Morton; nephews C. O'Neill and .J. Morton; and brother-in-law, Mr. J. O'Neill. The casket-bearers were Messrs. P. Ridge, C. King, W. Joyce and A. Mayne.
