COLUMBIA Lloyd S. Liles, 92, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Born in Middlesex, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Edmond H. Liles Sr. and Minnie Batts Liles. Lloyd served in the US Navy and took early retirement from Southern Bell where he served as an executive in Anderson, Charleston, Greenville and Columbia.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris Nauful Liles, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edmond H. Liles Jr and his sister, Angelia Bartlett.
A funeral service for Mr. Liles will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018, at Northeast Presbyterian Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Dr. George Crow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ed Holler, Grayson Meetze Jr., Hal Liles, Kemp Liles, Terry Williams, John Farmer, Doug Yeatts and John Medlin.
