Mrs. Irma Sue Jacobs Wood was the youngest of 10 children born to Austin Carroll "Buck" Jacobs and Alvirdie Clarenda "Virdie" Bryant.
Irma was born on April 23, 1941 in Bethel, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Denton, Texas, after having attained the age of 79 years, 11 months and 8 days.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, worked in leather goods and was a homemaker and enjoyed quilt making and crocheting and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene Wood, her brothers, Austin, Baustin, George Thomas, Hubert, Marion and J.D. Jacobs, her sisters, Virdie Jo, and Birdie Mae (Jacobs) Walker as well as twin grandchildren Tee Jay and Billie Michell Carson-Marshall.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Eldon Marshall and his girlfriend Misty Rickard of Bowie, Texas; a daughter Virdie "Vicky" Reichel of Duncan, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren Brian McClain, Brittani Marshall, Shelby Marshall, Celest Rickard, Zane Rickard and Tristan Rickard. A great granddaughter Christine Richard. A brother MC Jacobs of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as, other family members and a host of friends.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Irma Wood will be held at 10:00., Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Wickes, Arkansas, with Bobby Tatum, Minister officiating.
