CULLEN HATCHER, 78, of Duncan, Okla., passed away Friday morning, Nov. 7, 2008, at Duncan Regional Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Hastings Cemetery, with Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Hatcher was born June 5, 1930, near Waurika, to R.C. and Mable King Hatcher.
He grew up farming around the area.
On Aug. 20, 1957, he married Joy Drumgoole, and they had one child, Vickie.
After returning to the area, he and Joy volunteered at Douglas Senior Center for years, helping with all needs, and then took over serving duties until his health deteriorated.
Joy died on March 9, 1994.
Cullen met and married Irma Marshall in December 1994.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Bob.
He is survived by his wife, Irma; a daughter, Vickie and her husband Joe Martenez of Austin, Texas; a stepdaughter, Vickie McClain of Duncan; a stepson, Eldon Marshall and wife Linda of Nocona, Texas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
