Flora M. Cluff Eldredge was born and raised in Coalville, UT. She was the daughter of William Wallace and Anne Whipple Cluff. Flora married a childhood friend Lawrence E. Eldredge on 21 June 1899 in Salt Lake City. They had 5 children, one daughter Blanche died young.

The family moved to Lynwood, California for a time, then settled back in Salt Lake City where Lawrence died at age 49 of typhoid fever. By 1940 Flora moved to Los Angeles to be with her 3 children who were living there (Emery, Claire and Evie). After having a heart attack, her daughter Claire who was a nurse took care of her. She had several heart attacks following that and passed in 1953.
