Funeral services for the late Claus F. Schierholz pioneer of Boone County resident, was held at the Methodist church, Sunday afternoon.
Pallbearers were:
Tom Campbell
Jim Pritchard
George Anderson
Ort Clark
Harvey Helphrey
C.T. Williams
Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery.

Claus F. Schierholz son of Peter and Catherine Schierholz, was born Feb. 1, 1854 at Norderstapel, Germany.
He came to America with his mother and sister and brother to Lyons, Clinton County, Iowa.
He was baptized and conformed in the Lutheran faith.
He grew to manhood in the Ogden area.
On April 21, 1884 he was united in marriage to Louisa E. Forester.
They moved to a farm four miles north of Ogden and stayed there for 27 years.
On Feb. 7, 1911 they moved to Ogden which they stayed.
Three children came to bless this family.
One daughter and two sons;
The daughter died as infant.
The sons were:
Claus P. Schierholz
Jacob H. Schierholz
Mrs. Schierholz , his companion passed away Feb. 24, 1926.
He moved to his sons home in Oregon on April 1938 and lived until his death.
Mr. Schierholz passed away on April 13, 1941 at the home of his son C.P. Schierholz in Oregon
