Eunice Gertrude Caton, 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in San Angelo.
Visitation will be held 9am to 8pm, with family present from 7pm to 8pm on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Shaffer Funeral Home's Pioneer Chapel with burial to follow in Grape Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Eunice was born on March 12, 1930, in Grape Creek, Texas to Alfred Eugene and Fannie May Holsenbeck.
She married James Murphy Caton on November 3, 1955, in Colorado City, Texas.
They had three children, Peggy Jeanellen, Beverly Lynn, and Darrell Wade.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Murphy Caton of San Angelo and daughter Peggy Jeanellen Fleming and son-in-law Rick Hansford Fleming Sr. of San Angelo, Texas. She is also preceded in death by her four brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly Lynn Robertson and husband Jesse Ray of Rockport, Texas, son Darrell Wade Caton of San Angelo, Texas, and grandson Shawn Caton of San Angelo, Texas.
Eunice was blessed with eight grandchildren, twenty-four great- grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Fleming, Rick H. Fleming Jr., James Chadwick Sr., Shawn Caton, Josh Osgood, and Raymond Allen.
