Marriage - Grethel - DesJardins - Patchogue, March 28 - William F. Grethel, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, a soldier stationed at Camp Upton, and Miss Malvina Desjardins, daughter of Malvina Desjardins, of East Main Street, were married March 16, at the rectory of St. Francis de Sales' Church by the Rev. James J. Cronin. The witnesses were William Renken and the bride's mother. The couple will reside with the bride's mother for the present.

Marriage - DE FOREST—GRETHEL - Miss Malvina Desjardins Grethel of 67 Avery Avenue and Cyril De Forest of New York city were married Monday afternoon by Justice of the Peace Frederick P. Marchant at his home in Yaphank, being attended by Mrs. Lawrence Behan, an old friend of the bride, and Damos Desjardins, the bride's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Rimuth of Glendale also accompanied them. A small reception was given at the home of the bride 's mother for relatives and friends immediately afterward. Mr. and Mrs. DeForest will for the present reside at 67 Avery Avenue.

In 1930, Malvina DeForest, aged 24, was living at 79 Columbia Street, Brookhaven, New York, with her husband, Cyril DeForest, aged 29, a chef in a restaurant, and daughter, Diana Grethel, aged 8, and lodger, Leo Gormy, aged 29.

Marriage - MAGURK—DE FOREST - Mrs. Malvina De Forest and George Magurk, both of Patchogue, were married at 4 p. in. Tuesday in the Emanuel Lutheran church, Patchogue, by the Rev. Carl G. Gernannt. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wagner, son-in-law and daughter of the bride, were the attendants. A dinner was held at the White House inn, Coram, for the wedding party. Mr. and Mrs. Magurk will reside on Avery avenue, Patchogue.

Obituary - MRS. MALVINA MAGURK, 52, of 391 Washington avenue, Patchogue, died after an extended illness Sunday at her residence. Born in New York city, she was a resident of Patchogue for 51 years. She is survived by her husband, George of Patchogue; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Wagner of Miami, Fla; a sister, Mrs. Rose M. Schanil of Holtsville; a brother, Frank S. Desjardins of Patchogue and two grandchildren. The body reposed at the Pettit Funeral Home in Patchogue until yesterday when interment was at 11 a. m. in Washington Memorial Park, Coram.
