Beloved husband of Angeline (Polovich). Father of Jerome, Mary, George, and Carol.
He was someone's son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
Papa was a boxer in his younger day (and even turned "pro" for a time) later on he would love to watch the sport on TV. He also loved to bowl with Nana, they were on a league for many years.
He liked to lift weights in the basement and kept meticulous records of his progress. Playing Bunko with him and Nana or watching him draw little characters at the kitchen table were also favorite memories of mine. Papa was an animal lover, I can remember when his dog Smokey's health was failing, Papa never left his side; he would carry him when he could no longer walk. Papa was a wonderful grandfather who is missed everyday.
PS. Papa make sure to tell Nana we love and miss her always, you both left us too soon.
