Last rites for Henry Eston Austin were held at the Poplar Springs Church with the Rev. H B. Vinson officiating. Mr. Austin died October 22 at his residence near Kilmichael after a lengthy illness. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Lee Funeral Home.
Mr. Austin was born February 18, 1882 in Montgomery County and was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Emoline Estes, New Orleans, Louisiana, five, sons, Floyd Austin and Guy Austin, Kilmichael, Owen Austin and Vernon Austin of Winona, Pat Austin, Columbus, Georgia, two brothers, Cleveland Austin, Winona, Virgil Herring, Philadelphia and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Wilson Hambrick, Holland Hambrick, Hubert Hambrick, Wade Austin, Burdette Greenlee and Floyd Austin.
