Funeral for Eleanor Anders Adcock, 92, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Thompson and the Rev. Joshua Allison officiating.
Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Adcock, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center, was born June 23, 1915, in Morgan County to John Walter Anders and Ester Minter Anders. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church,where she played the piano for 50 years and was involved in all church activities. She had worked at Dari-Delite in Hartselle and the Hartselle Post Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Elbert Adcock, who died in 2000; daughter, Wreatha Adcock DuBose; infant son, Cecil Elbert Adcock Jr.; and grandson, Jeffrey Sandlin.
Survivors include two sons, Perry Adcock of Decatur and Charles Adcock and wife, Linda, of Panama City, Fla.; three daughters, Gail Adcock Sandlin and husband, Edward L., of Fayetteville, Tenn., Sylvia Kamp and husband, Marvin, of Brandon, Fla., and Elizabeth Adcock Clark and husband, Bill, of Priceville; two sisters, Emogene Keene of Tuscaloosa and Sue Gravlee of Gardendale; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
