Robert Blackburn was born in Holme - on -Spalding Moor on 24 July 1803. Son of Robert Blackburn and " Mary " Mercy neé Smart

Married Marry Dunn at Whitgift 2nd August 1827.
In 1841 Robert and Mary are in Spaldington where he is a Farmer, living with their children John, Richard, William, Robert, Thomas and Matilda. Mary's 75 year old relative is living with them also.
Harriet and Ann ( Annie ) were born in late 1841.
Mary died in 1847 and gradually the younger children go to live with other family members at Goole Fields.
In 1861 Robert is an agricultural worker living with his daughter Matilda in Goole Fields.
By 1871 Robert has moved to Swinefleet living at Providence Place and still with Matilda and a grandson.
According to burial records Robert was 69 when he died and was buried on 21 Nov 1871 in Swinefleet.
