Obituary for Mary Louise Walton
Mary Louise Walton, 80 of Ranger, passed away Friday April 30, 2021 in Wichita Falls. Visitation will be Sunday, May 2nd at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger from 5~6 p.m. Services will be held at 11 am Monday at the funeral home.
Mary Louise Pugh Walton was born to Willard and Lera Pugh on August 10, 1940 in Snyder, Oklahoma.
Mary, better known as Ma, was a beloved wife, mother and friend. She spent her life serving God and loving everyone around her. She traveled across the country as a Military wife, raising their four kids until they settled back down in her hometown of Ranger, Texas where they started and ran Crossroads Tree Farm. Her life long love outside of her family was teaching Bible class, which she did for nearly 60 years. Ma passed peacefully on April 30th in the arms of her husband of nearly 63 years, and surrounded by family. Her kind, sweet spirit lives on in her kids, grandkids, great-grand kids and every other person whose life she touched in her 80 years on this Earth. She was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Lee Pugh, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Hal Walton; 2 sons, Hal Walton, Jr. (Camilla), and Michael Walton (Deana); 2 daughters, Patricia Stancill (Randy), and Kathy McGarry (Mike); 2 sisters, Shirley Walton (Tom), and Barbara Perry (James); 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
