She was born October 22, 1944, to Fred Samuel Martin and Hattie Oakes Martin.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, David, to whom she was married for 49 years prior to his passing in 2011; sister, Doris, and brothers, J.D. and Glen.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael Grant Hancock (Deana); grandson Hunter and four brothers, Ted Martin (Barbara), Ronnie Martin (Nancy), Larry Martin (Joann), and Jerry Martin (Mickey Hankins).
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church and will be officiated by Reverend Danny Gilley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett, Va.
