David Crawley Hancock, age 71, of Fieldale, died Monday, January 3, 2011.
Born in Critz, August 4, 1939, he was the son of the late Thomas Crawley Hancock and Katherine Brim Hancock.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Martin Hancock of the home, a son, Michael Grant Hancock and his wife Deana of Radford, a grandson, Hunter David Hancock, two sisters, Jean Joyce and Faralina Conway of Bassett, and a brother, Jimmy Hancock of Bassett.
The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett, with the Rev. Danny Gilley officiating. Interment will follow in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 7 to 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
